High end TC for apple ICT4?
Just cleared apple tech interviews. I decided to talk to them because The team I'm looking at has more interesting work than at Google. Recruiter says they haven't decided on a level yet but I suspect it will be ICT4. According to levels.fyi the average is ~320k in the bay. So I'm wondering if there's any chance they can even match my current TC. Is it worth moving forward, or should I just withdraw my application? What do you think? 13yoe, TC 430k
Levels.fyiWhat’s your level at G. I have heard from a reliable source that if Apple likes you , they will Pay’s competitive refreshers and initial grant. I would focus on getting an offer first with a solid interview performance.
Yeah they can do different things. I know someone who had a second year sign on bonus since they couldn’t move the regular sign on bonus any higher. If course this is if they really want you.
You can be ICT5 and assuming that’s the case, they can match your current TC. Of late, I have seen pretty big initial RSUs at Apple, especially in AI/ML related fields/org. Are you L5 or L6 at Google?

Here’s another opinion, probably getting a secondary offer will help you tremendously.
IC4 and my RSU initial grant plus first year refresher brings me to 380+ k in just RSUs. I'd imagine ICT5 should be at least that much.
You should aim for an ICT5 position then you can get a bump on TC.
430K seems out of reach for ICT4
Ict4 is a downlevel from G/F T6. Top of ict4 band is 229 base, but refreshes are generally only 100.
I guess it’s org-dependent, but refreshers for ict4 are around 130 on average from what I’ve seen. I have even seen an ict4 get a 190K refresher. Of course, he was a flight risk and they really wanted to keep him around
My refreshers were ~130 as well, but that’s definitely not the norm, and I was definitely pulling more than my share of weight. Definitely org dependent. The most common refreshes I saw for other 4s were right around 90-10k.
No harm in getting an offer and then making a decision from there. It’s perfectly normal to turn down an offer because you’re not willing to take a substantial pay cut. Nobody should have hard feelings over tha
