One of the underrated benefits of WFH is that I have enough time to research stocks. CNBC is on till markets close on 1pm PST. That alone is worth 200k :)
Cnbc is kind of trash, reading or even bloomberg is much more information dense. I guess it's probably easier to have in the background though.
IA, Bloomberg is 100x better
30k after taxes is 15-20k. For me thatβs not enough to give up the flexibility of WFH
I think the poll should be a % and not fixed dollar amount. 30k is a lot of money for me, maybe just pocket change for folks on the west coast.
You save more money by staying home. Working in an office creates extra costs. Insane commutes are such a waste of valuable time. Work can be done from anywhere. Open office layouts killed all productivity. Time is not something you can ever get back.
Opposite for me. Got fed well at the office, WFH means I buy more grocery and need larger space for home office (2x rent)
You probably eat way too much Square. Need to start fasting 20+ hours a day and get a home gym.
You also potentially save from the bother of progression in your career depending on the company.
Lmao
Old people swear you have to be in office to get promoted. π
Why these stupid polls?
30k not worth it but 50k yes
If the culture of promoting is for office folks only then u have no choice but to show up.. i agree u can do lot of market related stuff at home and all that is extra income( if u make money) .. problem is ur interaction skills will start dipping down quite a bit
Do you guys not have social interactions outside of work? This is the weirdest take Iβve seen...
there is life outside of work?
Why not both? Get 30k more AND wfh
30k is hardly a difference after taxes π₯
