What is the highest base you have seen in a HFT or quant non-pm role? I am guessing it tops around 500k including signon.
It's meaningless to include sign on. Have seen multi-million sign on bonuses
That's interesting, for what roles? I can see that for PMs but it would dwarf your base otherwise.
QR, PM mostly It varies firm by firm but quant usually has higher base and lower bonus than pms

11 offers to laid off[UPDATE]: 5 offers
Just curious, why do you care about base as opposed to bonus?
Firms spend 1/3 of their time in recession and paying zero bonus, it hasn't happened recently but will. Just three years ago banks weren't just deferring, they were laying off a quarter of their staff.
base is for far back office
