Hi there. Last Wednesday I had a zoom interview with the CTO (potential manager) and another Sr Product Manager- for the Product Manager role. On Thursday evening, the CTO reached out to ask me about my salary expectations. After learning about the salary on Friday morning, he scheduled an on-site interview with the rest of the team and wanted me to come in very quickly and speak on the same day (Friday) afternoon. Is this normal? The on-site interview seemed to have gone well. What do you think would be the outcome? Hire/NoHire? PS: the CTO wasn't my point-of-contact for the role but took on after speaking to him in the 2nd round.
Yes. That means the CTO and his team wants to interview you ASAP in case you are interviewing elsewhere. It’s typical for smaller companies or those that don’t have one or a competent HR.
It’s typical for a startup to move faster
It's not a startup per se; this company is around since 2002. But it doesn't have a dedicated HR or recruiting team. Since the CTO was really enthusiastic, he scheduled the onsite interview on the same day. Are there higher chances of me getting hired if this is the case?
