High buildings mean more people/car's/traffic. You cannot build higher without building the infrastructure and transportation first. And don't tell me you will dump your nice Tesla and get into a bus :D
Burj Khalifa is a mixed us skyscraper. It has office space, residential, and hotel in one building. We donβt need to compete with Burj Khalifa, but we can definitely have mixed use skyscrapers where your work is just 20 floors down by elevator.
In some way this is already happening in the Bay Area. I donβt see much new single family being built. Most new constructions are apartment / commercial mixed use buildings.
