I have an upcoming first round interview with Datadog. My recruiter hasn’t given much info yet; she just said it would be a technical 1-hour video interview. Can anyone share what the problems will be like, or give advice on what to study? If it matters, I’m interviewing for the platform team. I’ve searched on Blind for tips on how to prepare, but couldn’t find any recent info. 3.5 YOE
“Cracking the coding interview” and interviewcake.com prepare you well. We try to have realistic interview questions, less red-black tree and more practical problem solving.
Thanks for the insight! “We try to have realistic interview questions” -> Does that apply to all SWE teams at Datadog?
I got 2 questions during my screen. The first was an lc easy and the second was a more “practical” problem (difficultly probably around a medium). Should be doable if you are a decent coder/problem solver.
Update?
I got a two pointer string question
Are you a new grad or experienced engineer?
Can I dm for more info?
