Being acquired by Salesforce. What to expect.

Anyone knows how Salesforce treats the employees of an acquired company:
Do you get a new offer from Salesforce?
Do the new employees get the same benefits and pay as Sf employees?
Can you expect layoffs?

  • I saw neither cash and a good reduction in stock grants.

You get the new benefits, mapped to a Salesforce level, comp is pretty much the same, aside from stock price bump on acquisition, and whatever future rewards might be vs your current company

  • Didn’t salesforce match up comp if paid low? Mule soft and Pardot game similar TC as salesforce ones

My small company was acquired by Salesforce. Nearly everyone got a package at or slightly below Salesforce median for their level. For most, that meant a cash raise of anywhere from 5-25%, when bonus was included. They also got stock of $25-$100k with 4 year vesting.

Key employees got better packages, including bonuses from the startup investors. A few of us came in with L9/L10/L11 packages with 40+% cash raises (including bonus) and $700k plus in stock over 4 years (stock grant was around $70/share), so my TC went up 250% overnight.

We had autonomy for about 6 months and then slowly got integrated into core teams.

Oh wow, 700k stock that's pretty good. Probably the higher ups are the ones benefiting here

Most likely, though pretty much everyone got a raise, except for some non tech folks who didn't get job offers. Comp at the start-up was below market, so just getting into SFDC comp bands was a raise in and if itself.
