As a random example I'd bet you:
- think eating chicken is normal.
- think eating guinea pig is weird.
Try to think of objectively why you'd think that way, and you'll realize that what is socially acceptable to eat is mostly cultural.
Other cultures eat guinea pig and think it's so good that it was reserved for special occassions. Yours doesn't, so you think it's weird.
It goes as far as that other cultures don't eat peanut butter and jelly so they think the idea is gross, even though it's considered the most basic of foods in the US.
