Airbnb primarily bought it because there’s a huge demand for last-minute stay booking with small supply of hosts who can host last-minute bookings, and HT has the opposite problem as their consumer branding isn’t as well known to guest who have the demand, but they have a huge last-minute supply of boutique hotels partners who can handle last-minute booking.
