What do you think about the insane hike in housing prices especially in the South Bay Area like Mountain view , Cupertino and Palo Alto ?

      By definition, when a house is sold, someone can afford the house?

      Just because you can't afford it, doesn't mean the market is in a bubble.

    • Amazon, I have much more yoe and comparable base i.e. poorer. So, consider buying a house if has value and if you can really afford it. I made the mistake of not buying an apartment when I was younger. I could have lived rent free and at least broke even when I sold it.

    Not sure where you get the "insane hike" for Palo Alto. 2021 price is just back to 2019 price for Palo Alto.

    If you want to look for insane price, look at Sunnyvale. Price there is already 20% above the 2019 price.

    Another flawed poll. Like many of my neighbors, we sold in Silicon Valley for top dollar, and relocated within California.. great area, much lower cost. Still drawing a Bay Area salary without the traffic
