Hi, I'm going to join Microsoft soon. My office will be in Redmond. I'm looking for a place in one of Kirkland, Bellevue and Redmond. I'm wondering if Microsoft offers shuttle services from these areas. I want a short commute, if possible using a shuttle. Any suggestions? Is the shuttle map publicly available? Thanks.
TC?
Live in downtown Bellevue. They have many shuttles from there.
Google -> Microsoft isn’t nearly as common as Microsoft -> Google, would love to know why you made the move
Google->Microsoft is relatively common too. Especially at higher levels.
Are you young and single/childless? If so don't choose the Eastside. Seattle has MSFT shuttles and is way cooler. Kirkland downtown/waterfront if you absolutely must live on the Eastside. Downtown Redmond right now is just alright for biking and bussing to main campus, but should get much better when light rail comes. Bellevue is ok for metro transit, but it's not perfect either.
By the time light rail comes on the route many of us will likely be dead.
Microsoft has both shuttles and connectors. Connectors can take u all the way ti Seattle, and they have wifi so u can do whatever u like on ur way. Between Kirkland and Redmond, i would say Redmond is better connected(i mean downtown Redmond area), this because they have an office in downtown Redmond, so the shuttles are available till pretty late, like 9pm ish i think. So if u r walking distanCe form that office(anywhere near the Redmond way and 161/164/166 intersection) you are good. And there are tkn of housing there, but expensiVe. Bellevue has a few offices as well, like advanta etc, so staying near the Lincoln sq mall will get you shuttles.
Thank you all for the suggestions!

You can take the shuttle to work, but in those places you will need a car for pretty much everything else.
