My fellow Amazonians seem to consider Alexa to be something akin to a cure to cancer and a true sign that the company is innovating as hell.
It is the most popular dedicated voice assistance device, sure. IMHO it’s mostly to a fact that the hardware is cheap and mean.
Voice assistants were around for quite some time. Siri and Google Now were there before Alexa. Both are available in 20+ languages. Siri boats most active users. Google Assistant can actually maintain a conversation.
So. How Alexa is innovative?

I haven't tried Siri or Google. I was simply pointing out what innovation I saw in Alexa, just as you asked. You seem hell-bent on ignoring or minimizing anything that Alexa does well, so I assume you have some agenda here.
