Amazon is literally hiring many new grads without even an interview. Many people I know cheated in all assessments sent and grabbed an offer with some 30min discussion of what is given during assessment. Most of them can't even code and how do you think people survive once getting inside?#newgrad #amazon #engineering #software #swe

Yep it's funny people complain about the leetcode process, so Amazon asks easier questions leading to more bad employees. Then everybody hates amazon for PIPing or over working them because they cannot meet expectations in a normal 40 hour work week.
Turns out it is way better for company image just to ask hard leetcode questions and call it a day.

Well it’s well known for years that Amazon hires new grads without any interview, and many of those cheated on all online assessments. I’ve been hearing about such things since 2017. I think it’s an extension of the internal PIP quota and culture at Amazon. They need to PIP people every cycle but managers don’t want to PIP those who are actually productive. Hence they blindly hire people just to PIP them later on. I’ve heard many new grads getting PIPed in their first cycle which is absolutely unheard of, if allowed at all, at other companies.

Idc about hiring bar but the pip dynamic is toxic AF. I'm returning to my intern team and they all worked like crazy. Why subject myself to that when I can get paid the same or better elsewhere and get treated better? Plus the vesting schedule and benefits suck.
