Videos about H1B and landing a $300K job are just cringe man
Seeing one off blind posts where it looks number on levels.fyi are so less since almost everyone here is earning at least 500k.. Levels.fyi only cover lower end of the spectrum? PS: I know for some the numbers would already be high but for majority of blind it doesn’t seems that way. #tech #faang #salaries
What makes you think “everyone” here is making “atleast” 500k?
Most of the posts i see folks are making 400k+.. made it “almost everyone “
I find levels to be the most accurate, not to say that's it's always accurate though. It captures the lower side of average in my experience. I imagine a lot of people on blind are full of shit lol.
Most people here lie. 500k is upper upper echelon.
Different levels earn different salaries. L6 at Amazon? Yes, there's been a thread about the 20% raise of bands that brought L6 to up to 500k, and L5 to up to 350k.
Wasn't that a rumor, though?
No, lots of people since then showed 350k offers for L5.
The Amazon ones are annoying simply because the vesting isn’t even. So when stats say $55K RSUs per year, what year are we taking about? Year 3/4 where 40% vests? Or are we assuming the total stock grant is 55K * 4 yrs?
You can filter by years at the company. If you're joining, it really only makes sense to look at 0.
It can go either way. But from my own experience (from Amazon and Google), yes, the levels.fyi numbers can indeed be low at times, especially if you gave good interviews. Also, at recent times, most of the companies except G have been giving pretty high offers.
