I came across this site recently and am quite amazed by the numbers there. How accurate are these numbers? I liked their approach of awarding numbers based on skills, background, experience etc but I am not sure if thats how the companies really determine offer packages. Wish it was that transparent! Also wondering if anyone has quoted/used numbers from there to negotiate raises in base pay/stocks in their current roles?
By their data my current comp is below 0 percentile in my current company.
They add signing bonus. So if you were given $40k in signing bonus/RSUs they add that into the comp. Though it was truly a 1 time thing, not yearly.
Not true. I compared my salary, my direct reports salary and it's not correct (lower on a website)
Can't comment on accuracy, but your manager will laugh at you if you try to justify a pay raise with numbers from a website. You justify pay raises by your work and by getting other offers.
Right but what if you realize you have been fooled right from start with statements like 'this is the max we can offer you' etc at the time of joining and now, few months down the line, you know that it was clearly a lie.
Then you leave and renegotiate? You accepted the offer, live with your decision. You have to provide an incentive for them to raise your pay and waving a paysa.com screenshot won't do that.
