2 yrs ago I tried for Google & didn't pass the bar. Along the way my recruiter was really disengaged / frustrating to work with.
- no comms for weeks post interview
- would address me as "dear candidate" and sign off as "insert googley sign off"
- I couldn't get much feedback from my on-site (all I got was "passed technical" and "mixed reviews")
- missed scheduled times to have a call
- sorta rude during the reject call
I might want to apply again, again via referral. Will I automatically be put in the same recruiter's queue? I'd like to avoid that if I can. Is there something specific I can do to avoid it (reach out to recruiters directly, something my referrer can do)? I've heard some recruiters are great and really helpful during the process. This is for product management.
Any insight would be appreciated! I'd like to minimize stress during my next job hunt if I can.
