I have zero info on daycare of FAANG companies cause most of my friends in these companies either do not have kid or their kid is older than mine. I have two year old kid who has been in Cisco Bright Horizons for about six months. The full-time cost is about $2200 per month and it's very close to my office. I am wondering how does that work in other big companies? I just wanted to get some idea to have a better picture in the case that I would have the chance to move into one of these great companies. Any information would be appreciated 😊
We don't have daycare, just reimbursements.
Could you please share more details? And Is there any min. time employment requirement to be eligible for paid maternity/paternity leave ( 4 months)?
Afaik you get $3000/year of reimbursements plus a pre-tax childcare savings account that you can elect to put money in (you lose the money if you don't use it within a year)
2200k is pretty low for that age. Usually it's 3500k for BH. Are you in the bay?
sorry I didn't mention it. Yes I'm talking about Bay Area. You are right, it's a way more than $2K in other branches. This is Cisco's BH and just Cisco employees can enroll. I assume Cisco is paying extra to them to reduce the cost to 2K. That was actually the reason of opening this post to ask what are your options at Apple? Do you have high quality daycares around office with such discounts for Apple employees?
That's amazing that Cisco pays this much towars BH tuition. No, Apple doesn't have such a thing. We only have the FSA (that has a max of 5k per year) and some discounted backup care for BH (I think 10 days a year or so).
Don’t think Amazon has any benefits for day care. Dependent Care FSA is available, and maybe some discounts to local providers (BH, Kinder..something) if they happen to share the same building or nearby. But otherwise none that I’m aware of.

Worried that our top performer is an attrition risk. How do managers handle this?
Jesus that is expensive for a 2 year old.
Yes ,it is expensive :( however, compare this with other BrightHorizon branches seems more reasonable. I heard it's more than $3k per month in non-Cisco branches. The quality is really good though specially we have live camera in class to watch them which i think there are few places providing this.
Pay for convince :)
