How bad is the commute from Pleasanton to Netflix
How bad is the commute from Pleasanton to Netflix? From google map, it shows it will take 2.5hours and 3 hours from Netflix campus to Pleasanton (Alameda County Fair Grounds, Gate 12 lot), if starting from 4pm. In the morning, it shows that it will take 2hour to 2.5hours from Pleasanton to Netflix, if it starts from 7:30am. Anyone who works in Netflix and lives in Pleasanton/dublin/livermore can help advise? About Netflix Shuttle Schedule: From Netflix Shuttle schedule, it says it will start from netflix at 4pm and can arrive at Alameda County Fair Grounds at 5:35pm. I can not believe it. Does any one use this schedule? Can you help comment ? In the morning, the Netflix shuttle says it starts Alameda County Fair Grounds, Gate 12 lot at 8am and will arrive at 9am in Netflix. I can not believe it. I feel 1 hour can not finish 680 at that time. Does any one use this schedule? Can you help comment ?

Good god, yeah, no.
It is not doable. You are traversing the entire East and South Bay. You will hate your life within a week, burnout within a month. Netflix is like Amazon or FB: expectations are brutally high, and you will inevitably fail to meet them if you are spending 4+ hours a day driving, competing with people who commute 20-30 mins each way.
I used to this a while back. Horrible. Ended up going at 4am and come back at 2pm to save time on road. But obviously had to take calls on way back and after reaching home. Overall a nightmare!!! Avoid unless you absolutely have no choice. If you don’t mind, Why you quitting uber? Seems like it’s poised for bounce back
It’s a bad commute. That’s why you don’t drive. You catch the shuttle or the train or you WFH. Mornings on the shuttle is about 1 hour. Return shuttle is 1.5 hours typically.
santa cruz is much better than Pleasanton for netflix job
I live in Dublin. The commute to Netflix isn’t bad at all. Couple of minutes tops. My bedroom isn’t too far from the living room where my tv is located
I am commuting from walnut creek to san jose for the past 4 years. I arrive to the office late (like 11:30) and leave the office late to avoid the traffic. I also have electric vehicle with ACC. Thats how i have survived these years :)
