Summit program at IBM is known for ramping up new grads into tech sales. Look for their Technical solutions specialist position aka sales engineer
Go into technology consulting and become a specialist in cloud, after two years pivot to a cloud provider of your choice, GCP, AWS, Azure, etc Can DM for an Accenture referral
Technical services or other support role
Start with Pre Sales
NetApp has a program for fresh grads looking to get into this, where they train you for 6 months before going into the field. Check it out, Iβm sure other big companies have it too. I also had a friend with a comp sci degree who graduated, became a BDR at a software company, and then pivoted to sales engineer - this route took a lot of initiative and well timing on his end.
Solutions Architect might be kinda cool. You could work on a serverless team so a nice in between for coding and sales.
Thanks I will look into job openings of solution architect
SA is presales but if youd prefer a more code less sales approach the Professional Services such as Cloud Consulting or Application Consultant would be good as well. It will be less sales and more project management but it's based on billable hours so still has a somewhat sales feel to it.
