idk what it’s like at other places, but the Amazon “sign on bonus” isn’t really like a random free lump sum, it’s meant to help even out your TC over the course of 4 years since your RSUs will not vest 25% each year (more like 5/15/40/40)
That’s because Amazon’s comp is such garbage
