Just completed an on-site loop at Amazon and wondering how positive/negative news is typically delivered (i.e. offer = email to set up time to chat, rejection = automated email, etc)?
Rejection through email after onsite, standard template email with no feedback
Two days after my on-site I got an email asking to set up a time to discuss the offer.
No fixed process for that, good news or bad news could be conveyed via email or phone. Sometimes they ghost out also, have seen ppl being waitng for results even after a month. Check the status on the portal, mostly the hiring manager/ recruiter set it to ‘selected or not selected’ after onsite.
Emailed to ask if I could take a call. During the call, recruiter told me the news of an offer. I told her in advance that, if it was a reject, please don’t call me.
Haha, thats good! I also hope they do not call if its a reject.
Verbal from HM and recruiter next morning.
Got an offer over email
I got an offer over email. No fluffy call
Email offer. Same with Microsoft. I like it that way. Email rejections are fine too. Don't bother with phone rejections. That's just stupid.
Just wanted to hop in back here to update: got a call (wasn't available to pick up) then an email saying they wanted to jump on a call to discuss an offer. Thanks to everyone's answers!
Did you get the call on the same day you posted this answer? On Feb 9 or was it a few days before that?
I got direct Call for offer without setting up any time
