Current on the very beginning of a long path of learning to code. Currently studying Python, just mainly through Sololearn app and brushing up on specific topics through YouTube.
My main goal in learning to code is actually to be able to create something for myself such as an app or product of some sort in the future. So that I have the vision and the expertise to actually create it myself.
I am really perplexed at how long it’s taking me to just learn the basics. It seems to me the basics are just never freaking ending, the moment I understand one topic (I.e OOP) something else comes up which is just completely foreign language to me (I.e Hashmaps)
So my question to you all is this. How did you get to the level of an entry level SDE1?
What advice would you give to someone who’s focused on self learning at self pace? Any big hurdles that you had to overcome?
Edit: Thanks everyone for the votes!
