Is going to SFO the only option to get a schengen visa? Are there any consulates in Seattle that will give a schengen visa? Looks like all of the European consulates in Seattle are honorary. I am from India and need to apply for a short term tourist visa.
Yes. That’s the only option afaik.
Some consulates - Swiss, German - accept application by mail. If you’re comfortable mailing in your passport, it’ll save you a trip
Only if you have been fingerprinted in the last 5 years or so. Otherwise you have to go to the consulate.
They’re super reliable and I recommend this route, saves you the hassle
Yes. I had did the same thing. Which country are you going to? Because you might be able to do it online.
I find it particularly surprising that even Canada doesn’t issue visas in Seattle despite it being close to an extremely busy border.
Not enough immigrants in seattle who needs visa vs other big west coast cities
American citizens don’t need any visa for Europe, thus, the options are limited
Try Vancouver its closer.
True. But I will need a Canadian visa to get a schengen visa
I think you need to travel to SF.
