I recently quit my job to take a break/classes and re-evaluate my next steps.

My health coverage from my company is valid till the end of june but that’s it.

Is there a way for me to get cheap insurance? I don’t want to pay $500/month.

Any tips are appreciated. Fyi, I live in Boston.

Thanks!

Alright, just giving you all updates in case you’re interested:
    - COBRA is more expensive than most private insurances I found (~ $500)
    - I don’t qualify for Medicaid since I had substantial income in 2020
-I ended up shopping around using an online broker and found basic health coverage for $200/month

Believe I saw something about COBRA costs being waved during pandemic? But could be for those who were laid off. Otherwise it’s Medicaid or healthcare.gov … I think

  • - Obamacare
    - Medicaid if you're really poor (I doubt it)
    - If you enroll in a university full time, probably there's student health insurance
    - Move to Europe until you're ready to work again...
    - Join PANW next? We pay better than ZS 😁
