How do I make myself more marketable as a Backend Engineer?

I have been working as a backend engineer for almost 2 years. I write code (mostly Java) for a micro-service for meetings in cloud. It’s been fun and I have been working with some really smart folks in my team at Cisco. However, I do want to make a move to FANG and some of the other exciting companies. How should I market myself? What sort of skillset should I go for? I have been leetcoding. :-) TC: 125k Bonus: 20k Location: San Jose.

Dude! It’s my first company. I can’t. I have seen people going to bigger tech companies from here.

Don't be absurd lol (though it's normal by Blind troll standards). Cisco is better than many tech companies out there.

You can get an interview at FAANG on a good referral. Honestly, if you're confident you /can/ pass a FAANG interview, your time is best spent gaming the referral system to get your foot in the door. If you /can/ pass a FAANG interview, and you get an interview at all 5 companies, you'll probably get an offer from one of them. Non-FAANG, I'd figure out what type of manager you want to work for, and how to get experience at work with proven results that would appeal to that type of manager.
