(editted per comment re pivots) Heard about a year ago alot of great network engineers im the NSBU for vmware were fired, is that true ? Surprised to hear a company would let w highly skilled, hard to replace / versatile network engineers go. How often do layoffs happen at Vmware and, who do they happen to?
Restructuring happens at the beginning of every year. Sometime in Jan iirc.
twice a year, January and July
Not a single Pivot was part of the last restructure, please dont spread rumors
No reasoning, no justification on layoffs, never except WFR and Restructuring. Just consider oneself unlucky if axed and move on finding internal and external opportunities.
Any confirmation on whether it is once or twice a year? Last three years I have seen it happen only in January.
It is twice a year, just that we don't see any impact to engineering in July cycle
Engineering once a year in January
When I was there, it used to happen every 6 months.
