I am considering an eng manager (L6 manager of leads level)at a post series b startup. How should I compute/estimate total comp when part of the comp is in pre-ipo options? What would be a good ball park for 11 YoE with 2-3 YoE as a manager.
Compare the percentage of total shares
So the value to me should be (Company Net Worth * % total shares )- strike price
Multiplied by some arbitrary factor of my guess of what they will exit at?
Get the last ipo funding amount per share
How do I compare that base? If one option has 10% higher base how much % in the above metric balances it out? Not interested in actual numerical answer but I want to investigate the relation between the metrics

Assume the stock value is 0
So assuming other things are equal just accept the highest base cash offer?
TC isn't everything. Do you really have no preference on which company/role is more interesting?
