Do you include full RSUs? Or vested only? Or unvested?

For example:
Base: $150K
RSU Gained (2021): $80K / 4 Years
But my total RSU: $520K

Would you calculate as…

Base + bonus +( RSU grant price /4) for new offers. Some people like to include appreciation of unvested units, but they are wrong.

@dNJz50 agreed! It’s just ridiculous some people are flouting large numbers and potential candidates share their salary expectation and the recruiter goes and says “WTF?!” Yes, that was a mistake I made and was mega embarrassed.

  • Its base + bonus + rsu vesting this year at current stock price.

If posting on blind then it is: (base + bonus + rsu vesting this year at current stock price) * rand(1.5 to 2)

Depends on what you are using it for. New offers is base + bonus + signing bonus/4 + rsu/4.

Existing just use either target TC or W2 last year.

Include 401k match if material, usually isn’t at most companies

Well, based on the results it’s obvious there are some people that inflate numbers given there’s a tie between those who count the full gained amount in RSU last year versus those who only count what was actually vested
