Does anyone have tips on how to get from application to interview in jobs with 150+ applicants? There’s a job that I know I’d be a perfect fit and I’m very qualified for at JP Morgan Chase but I’m worried my resume will get lost in the stack. Any advice at all would be appreciated
I never got a referral! I just apply online with resume being projected to match the job description. I have 4 job offers and includes 3 faangs. I had calls from twitter, dropbox, splunk etc which i had no time to interview with as deadlines for a couple of offers were very tight. When i see people asking for referrals on blind, i am like why!!
Find someone who works there on LinkedIn and reach out
Will this really work?
Maintain up to date profile on Linkedin and network with people at your target company, I have been able to line up several interviews this way. Also doesn't hurt to apply online but may be months or never before you hear back.
