Google gives a generous 12k to be used for education and professional development. How are you guys in Google using it?
About to start at G. I am looking into possible some kind of business degree or management. There seem to be some good school around.
I think it has to be related to the job. I'm in technical role, not sure a management degree can be justified to help my technical role. I'll also want to find more info on this.
I am also in a tech role but I have mgmt ambitions. So I would assume it’s related if you want to go into management. Otherwise what’s the point of this edu grant? Also FYI, they cover I think 2/3 up to 12k (if relevant to your role). That means you still need to cough up 6k yourself to get the full 12. Not sure you knew that?
Did udacity courses. The Self Drivng car is a real rigorous coursework . Helps you brag and understand how difficult a real world ML application is . Then did the flying car course. Super cool understanding what a Kalman Filter is. Then pursuing online MS. This may qualify me as top user of Education fund :)
Hey, did you use 12k or the 1200 personal training for these courses?
From 12k upto 2/3 cost as I am in ML. These courses as relevant to area of work.
