How does Apple Value Graduate Degrees When Extending Offers?

For Apple and other companies its common to see education requirements in the job description. (In my opinion, college education is not the same indicator for performance that it was in generations past but companies still include it). At Apple and other companies, you may see minimum education requirements and preferred education. My interpretation has always been, you’re a more competitive candidate the more preferred requirements you have. in theory, alongside solid interviewing, that should increase your value along a pay band. For both tech and non-tech roles, how does a related graduate degree beyond minimum requirements improve your TC at Apple? TC: 210 YOE: 12 MBA and yes, i realize there is broad variance in tech about my specific graduate degree so I intentionally asked this broadly for other graduate degrees. #Apple #mba #mbacompensation #salary #compensation #offers

They don't really. It's only valuable if it's immediately relevant to the role. What's usually valued is work or in-industry experience.

It is highly valued for technical positions. Vision/ML/Signal processing are in high demand and they will give good offers.

Almost zero value. For a new grad hire maybe 5k. The more experience you get the less relevant it is.

They add the degree requirements for visa qualification purposes. It doesn’t directly correlate to what they pay you.
