Recently changed my employer and I got a prompt from blind saying I don't work at my previous company. How does it know? Does blind leak any data to the employers?

Can I be identified if I join Blind?
The only information thatβs required when joining is an email address. Emails are one-way hashed, salted and encrypted. Accounts are stored on a separate server from hashed email addresses. This means that your activity will never be connected to your email. Your name will not even be connected to your account since we never ask for this information. In short, you will be anonymous, even to our team members.
If emails are hashed, they shouldn't even know what address to ping. That's *highly* sus if what OP said is true.
Edit: FWIW I don't really give a shit and basically operate as if employer can see my posts. BUT from a security/privacy standpoint this is shit lol. Maybe someone thought of a clever way to verify, but if you can connect an account back to a service that can ping email, there's almost certainly a way to connect it back and at best you're getting "security through obscurity" which isn't a true form of security.
