Very corporate. Slow to move up. Super conservative. Offices are usually located in the middle of nowhere. Some M1 and M2s can get discretionary LTI which you choose options or RSUs and you vest after three years. Lots of restructuring lately though. It's a "nice" people culture. It's actually called JNJ nice internally. Just go through the motions and you can survive especially if you land a corporate or job on the Pharma side.

Depends where you land, in the Medical Devices area it’s an entrepreneurial atmosphere in a dinosaur environment. There’s a lot of innovation but the leadership can be slow moving.

Overall great company, open opportunity to meet talented senior leaders. Main con is it's not for you if you're in tech/SWE and not a PHD holder. Analyst level responsibilities and growth prospect is slow. Need to be a director to make real change.

Pharma is the only prestigious sector and carries the company financially.

Its an atypical 1970's corporate American company , leadership is not great , there are better choices out there

JnJ is a fantastic company with great company culture and wlb. They actually care about employees. They were extremely accommodating with me and my manager said they'll do whatever they can to make sure I have the best experience possible. Pay is not good at all though for engineers but if you are looking for a retirement company I highly recommend it!
