Other than delivery fee do they charge restaurants some percentage for placing an order for them?
Because the delivery/service fee should be to pay drivers.
Where do they print money for these high salaries for tech people and for infrastructure
I would like to here from Product managers at Uber DD

Look at the doordash for merchants - products - pricing.
They can choose also self delivery , or separate website , or use just the delivery piece for lower percentage.
Always surprises me people donโt searchโฆ
If restaurants agrees to pay 6%, then that is fine if they can afford that cost.
We have 0 control on that - but what I wrote is true for all restaurants.
Not sure why you think it isnโt trueโฆ
1. Service and delivery fees from clients
2. Order fees from restaurants (it may be a large piece like 25-30 percent of each order). That's why restaurants have 2 prices for the same menu: online prices are usually 20-25% more expensive than dine-in, to cover 3rd party delivery company fees. And also if you want your company to be visible on top of the search you should extra 5-10 percent to DD. That's how it works, and that's why I never use these services lol ๐
Every time I order I see a delivery and service fee varies from 4-9$ , from which they have to pay driver.
