How far can you come w/o Bachelor or Master,etc.?

Title says it all. Question is how far can someone climb the ladder w/o a Bachelor, Master, PhD, etc.

Guess it‘s much easier in a startup. But how is it in the big ships like Microsoft, Facebook, Google, Amazon, etc.? Is a bachelor/master something that pushes you significantly forward or is it overvalued when climbing the ladder? My feeling is it doesn’t count really much at MS. True/False? However, curious to know someone can reach a higher management level like GM and CVP anyway.

What‘s your experience? Please no guessing...give examples...do you know someone with an associate degree or even below who has/had a fantastic career? Interested to see those examples. It doesn’t count what you believe as we all got told BS from the society ;)
