How hard it is to go from L6 to L7 at AWS?
I am planning to accept an offer as a Sr. Solutions Architect at AWS. However AWS will bring me in at L6 and not L7. YOE: 15 TC: 335 K My current job at Apple is not that great, but I might get a promotion in the near future. How hard it is to go from L6 to L7 at AWS once I accept the offer and start working?

2 years is about the absolute fastest for a promo to L7. Most people never make it to L7. If you rock it, 3-4 years is probable.

For sake of the original question, I saw an SA on my LinkedIn go from L6 (initial hire) to L7 in 9 months recently, but looks exceedingly rare and a likely misleveling.
Not that familiar with the SA job family but in general it is quite hard to go from L6 to L7. Two years at minimum and you need a champion helping push it forward
