Do companies like Facebook, Google, Netflix, Apple, Amazon, Dropbox, Salesforce and likes require a candidate to have a Master's degree to qualify for Management roles?
The higher you climb the more you need to understand economics, business leadership, accounting, finance, sales, product development, operations, leadership training and principals, etc. MBAs cover these topics well.
MS is unlikely to help much in management.
MBA's, especially from the more prestigious schools (HBS, Wharton, etc.) all are trained that they're the elite and everyone else are serfs. Many of these grads are truly brilliant, but just like any school, you're going to have a bell curve. One of my former companies, Fortune 100, the CEO banned the hiring of any more Wharton grads due to the damage they caused within the company primarily from their arrogance that they were the elite and the rest of the world was put on earth to serve them.
