Not joining but see them around SF a lot so curious as to how AutoDesk is as a company? WLB, TC, growth, strategy, competition, vision, leadership etc.? YOE 6, TC 410k
How is Nutanix? I just got a recruiter mail and wondering if I should consider it
The main company or PlanGrid / Building Connected?
Company does cool things and pays decently if you negotiate (not FANG level but pretty decent). It successfully transformed it's business model completely in about 3-5 years so something to be said about that too. Lots of opportunity to learn as well as far as my team goes
What product do you work on?
Not on a product team myself. I'm in an analytics role working at the corporate level so I have to interact with other product teams though
Very little job security. Major layoffs 1-2x per year. Age and gender bias has huge impacts on women and people over 40. If you are a woman, over 40 you don’t stand a chance and will be managed out.
Are re orgs mostly in it teams?
I disagree with BIM360. I’m always struck by how many lifers there are here! I like it and find the work-life balance good.
Wlb is good and decent pay
Good TC for 6 yoe
It’s alright, I have a pretty strong background so it helps. Netflix is giving me a sizeable bump but I will be in Product.
There’s no common PIP process so layoffs are there to give under-performers a graceful exit. If you can negotiate well, join, otherwise you’d be underpaid.
I'll do you one better! Why is autodesk?
I also got an email from Autodesk a few weeks ago. But, the hiring manager didn't decide to go forward because my skills were not a match. Looking at their numbers, looks like the company is on a downtrend. Should we mind about it?
Downtrend?! How & why?! Look at the past 3-5 performance...stock appreciation...it almost 5x. I am not bragging...I am a critical investor too...just laying it out since I reaped good returns holding my company stock believing it’s direction & growth.
Run. Awful company. Generally doesn’t hire anyone in the US anymore.
Lol what? This is news to me.
Lol that’s a lie. My team just hired one and has an open req. now if they pay competitively... another topic
