How is cruise HW teams in terms of 1. WLB 2. Clarity of goals 3. Culture 4. Stability TC: 190 YOE: 6
Do you have any exposure from the HW side, or only SW?
What is your experience? Did you work there?
Expect 0 WLB. Cruise is notorious for that, and there is no point pretending otherwise.
Can you comment on clarity of leadership ? I am basically trying to understand how much truth is present in glassdoor reviews

I am still at Cruise and I can confirm the culture is overall bad, but I would say HW is comparatively better than AV & Infra software. Cruise was able to hire some good talent in HW and other areas with the ton shit of money they had in the bank, but Cruise AV talent is probably the worst in the industry.

Cruise is one of the worst company’s out there in the tech realm. However, as a HW eng, they may be one of the better employees from a TC standpoint.
Worst how? In terms of bad culture or bad technology?
Culture. People are just opportunistic af and not nice to each other. They also seem to believe their tech is far beyond the industry, which is just not true.
