How is FB design team?

I’m interviewing with FB, but I’m reading so many negative Blind posts about working there. However the Glassdoor reviews are mostly positive? How is it really?

If you rely on blind of information then god bless you

That’s not helpful. If you have a better suggestion of who to ask or where to find info without actually knowing anyone who works there, please tell.

If you don’t know anyone in such a large company , then I am surprised. I know many who love it there - yes you cannot slack off for sure - but that comes with a tier-1 company where everyone wants to join. So yes it’s not a cakewalk , but if you are good and you work sincerely , focus on impact and you will learn a lot and thrive. It’s similar for amazon , people hate it, but those who got out of it actually became better engineers . So it’s better than an actually political bs place (that Microsoft used to be ) or what other older companies are now or some startups are.

Ask your network or reach out to people with 2nd or 3rd connections at FB you know. As the above poster said, if you rely on a self selected pool on blind, you aren't getting an accurate or the full picture. FB places high on employee satisfaction rankings like glassdoor, linkedin, indeed that include a broader representation of employee inputs for a reason.

As long as those are real answers, I guess I have to rely on them! Thanks anyway. Was hoping to hear from folks who actually work there instead of blog posts of people paid to write blog posts.

Product designer here. I love fb a lot more than Google - working on the consumer facing product.

Thank you! That’s good :)

Majority of negative fb posts are coming from eng side I guess and I can see how challenging it is to be an eng at fb. So you can ignore the negative sentiment about fb in blind. But from my observation, PDs in non-fb org (IG, Whataspp, Messenger) seem to be more satisified than fb thanks to the small org size
