How is Uber India as Sr.SWE-1 ?
Hi, Currently in Google as T4 (total 8yrs ex, Google almost an year). Planning to move back to India(pref Hyderabad), exploring potential options. I have insights into Amazon - Google - Microsoft in India and Sr.Sde/SDE3 offers for US. Interested to know about Uber india specfically, 1> How is the work culture, impactful work, general politics etc ? 2> I have Sr.SWE 1 offer for SF, will need to work with recruiter for rematch in India, anyone done something similar? 3> Mobility between India and US offices ? 4> Any negatives, I should know about ? Why do you want to move?
Uneasiness related to visa situations. My friend's recent transfer from Google to Fb is stuck and it's already been 4 months. And Google in India is limited in opportunities.
How about other places like london etc? Do you feel India is better than those?
How much is Amazon/Msft offering in India ? Interested in TC in India..want to make similar move soon
I have L6 and L63 offers for US. For Amazon in process of talking to couple of HMs in Hyderabad. Microsoft I haven't yet requested for a potential team in India( The larger team does have strong presence in India though). So quite early in the process. One mistake I did was to get offer for Us teams and then ask for fit/match in India. Should have directly asked for India. A colleague joined Amzn India Sr.SDE his total tc is around 70lpa.

Google is hiring a lot in India. Don't you think India centre has more options now? Also your RSUs would remain. Uber Sse1 is better than MS 63. Amazon L6 can vary depending on the team.
