How is the work culture at Uber Amsterdam?
Is the culture respectful? Does Uber Amsterdam have autonomy or is it tied to SF?
How is the salary compared to the US?
It’s great. The Dutch are super chill and I like working with them. There are basically two large areas handled there that I know about: our global payments platform and some of our mobile development (definitely Android, maybe iOS but I’m not certain). I think the stuff we are doing with payments is really exciting and that’s what I would work on if I transferred there. As far as pay, it’s less than you’d get in SF or Seattle, but I heard it’s comparatively better once you take into account cost of living differences.
