Got a pretty decent offer there, but looking at overall WLB, and career trajectory. Pay is pretty good I hear - and you guys are moving to Hudson yards soon, right?
Banking is good for work life balance. People spend lifetime in banking roles which I still find weird. If the money is good and you see a path with runway go for it. It would be v diff from tech and at times slow when you want to make changes and move fast. Good luck š
Without a discussion of your current role and Chase role, it's impossible to answer this question . Iām getting a promotion basically and increase in salary plus probably better WLB. I could always go back to Google
Promotion from what role to what ? Increase in salary - pls note that unless it's confirmed, the figures could always change after a bad year

Getting a higher sign on bonus and position + Salary increase. Thinking about the possible WLB. Iām unsure b
Extremely dysfunctional, backwards thinking and huge turnover
Please elaborate!
Apart from turnover which other bank isnāt backward thinking and dysfunctional?
Google to Chase? Thatās wrong with this world
Seriously. I'll trade OP.
Iāve worked in NY finance. Iād only leave Google for a big bank if Iām PIPāed out of Google, or if for some reason I found Google to be insufferably pretentious. I could see leaving Google for a boutique investment firm, but for the love of god not a big retail bank!
