WLB, comp, culture? They seem to have mediocre reviews on Glassdoor.
Honestly, this applies to all the past companies I worked with. The experience (WLB, comp and culture) are shaped mostly by your manager and yourself. As I believe you are wondering what it will be like for you in PANW, do this for yourself: Ask your manager who will he recommend for you to talk to in PAN and his previous organisations. Ask them the perks and challenges face when working with him/her. You may get a better picture of your future in PANW with this approach. Good luck!
Compensation is good for sure. Second comments above, WLB is bad. Culture depends on team, but I want to point out bad WLB could possibly impact the culture in a negative way. I’d say if you value WLB a lot, you shouldn’t come to PANW because it really sucks. But what you can ask for is flexibility. Teams with great culture often offers good flexibility. If you get a great team that can support that, you’ll have a really good time here, latest tech stack, challenging problems to solve, etc. Agree with what NiCashAura said, try to gauge the team you are joining beforehand.
Lol why my wlb is so great
I used to work there’s one of the worst cultures I’ve seen. It’s amazon like.
Is it same across all the teams ?
I talked to other people when I was there and other teams were just as bad.
Glassdoor reviews are accurate. WLB sucks, comp is good, culture is good in general.
