Recruiter reached out, so I am considering interviewing there. Their recent roadshow of 'origin' seems very promising. What do ya all think about the company?
I interviewed with them last year. People who talked with me were pretty smart and friendly. I believe it was simulation team or something like that.
You didn't pursue them afterwards? Why? I believe you didn't join them
I got better offer.
Gets lonely and management is a joke. Culture is deliberately bad.
Is it still? I read from blind posts that was something in 2018 and things are improved now. Seems not?
Depends vastly what team you’re on and what you care about. Ask lots of questions and look for red flags.
I like it. It depends on your team obviously so ask to meet your team and ask questions yes. I can vouch that I work with a lot of smart people. As for every company that double it's size there was a lot of churn , especially from FAANG type people that are unable to deal with fast paced environments.
Seems you like it there? How long have you been working there?
Terrible place to work. Massive layoffs coming soon

If you vote for Biden this year, don't complain about layoffs
They don't pay as well as the best in the valley but the pay is good and better that Yelp I think (leaving the obvious lack of liquidity aside). They're known to be chaotic and their leadership keeps leaving/fired etc. They obviously have more work than they can deal with so expect it to be hectic and chaotic - not necessarily a bad thing if you're looking for exciting work. Ultimately, if the space appeals to you, they are a good company to go for I think they are strong contenders in the self driving space and will be the future of GM and Honda.
Leadership churn issues were 2018, management has truly leveled up
That's good to hear. Can you speak more to how it is to work there?
