At some point supply is going to exceed demand if layoffa start to increase across tech.

Yes. Only if u look at it like a fixed size pie.

As long as the size of pie keeps increasing. Even with more slices each slice will still be bigger.

That would happen in case of a recession.
And in that situation there are people who are in much more need of help than us !

    • As the pie gets bigger, it is bound to get rotten in some portion, so it must remove those rotten slices and keep moving. At the end, those who know what they are doing shouldn't have any difficulty finding a job

I’m more worried about the over supplies of new grads becoming more senior and my skills stagnating on boring business process code.

85K per year. However, lots of these H1-Bs are used by Indian consulting firms which do lower end tech work. Some of these H1-Bs do work in FAANGs, but they are minority. Due to this, wages for higher end jobs (FAANGs etc) do not get suppressed. What happens due to these H1-Bs is that folks doing lower end tech jobs get laid off. Wages for these lower end jobs have been suppressed for years.

As long as jobs can be shipped overseas, people can be laid off.
