That doesn’t sound right... are you including holidays?
Yeah he included holidays. Must be a recruiter because no normal person does that
You get 10 during year 1, 15 during each of he next 5 years and 20 afterwords. It sucks hard.
Plus 6 personal days in Seattle or 4 floating holidays in CA (in addition to regular holidays). I don't see how this sucks... Way more than I ever had before Amazon. The biggest problem is actually being able to use your PTO, i.e. finding time when there are no critical deadlines that I will screw up.
then people like to use WFH
18 days if your manager let's your treat sick, vacation, and personal time as the same. And you get 5 more after year one. It's not a lot. People who say they have more is because their hours rolled over or they include holidays (nobody does that, and we only get 6 holidays lmfao)
Some orgs (I’ve seen 3 in AWS) also give you 10 “professional” days that can be used to go to conferences and have everything paid for.
This is a perk I've seen at every job, it's still work / profressional development. Not PTO at all. We suck when it comes to legit time off. Some people have good managers though who will let them take PTO under the table as long as they keep up with deadlines
Can you tell me which orgs are those?
Plenty of managers don’t make you log vacation here
Wow we get 21 at Facebook
20-40 a year increasing with seniority. I'm considering the vacation days rolled over and a maxed-out situation.
Holy smokes really
So a new Amazon hires can have 20 paid vacation days?
