I hear a lot about how work at Amazon is high stress and long hours. For those of you that work or have worked in the infamous retail, video or other notorious teams: how many hours do/did you put in a day/week? TC: 90k YOE: 2
Lol more like the infamous AWS teams. The retail teams I interacted with have great WLB.
Yeah but they don’t make money for bezos 😂
If you are oncall, it's pretty much 24/7
Isn't that an industry wide thing?
I worked for 6 weeks straight including saturdays and sundays. Almost all my team did. We needed to meet a very important launch date. It wasn’t that bad actually, we got free dinners and lunches from wherever we wanted and i got promoted for the work. And it was also the only time i worked so hard in last couple of years.
Worth it.
5 - 10 years from now when you look back, you will realise it wasn’t worth it !
