How many push ups you can do in a row?

I can do 35 to 40. Trying to cross 50+ and aiming to hit 100. Is that easy to do 100+ in a row?

35 to 40 is a πŸ’ͺ? In before you calling my comment a weird flex. πŸ‘πŸ»

Oh, so you already realize it's a weird flex. Okay.

I've been trying to increase my count for sometime. I can do 50+ now. Mostly because I've lost 5-6 lbs since Jan. I guess to hit 100 you'll need to put a lot of time lifting weights as there's only so much weight you can lose.

100 is achievable just from developing endurance. No weight lifting required

Make sure you have correct form, you can mess up your elbows, shoulders etc if you're doing a lot over time

Yes, also it's good to do pull ups too to match pushups to not get any elbow issues in long run.

How much time do you spend lifting? Being a father, I hardly get time to hit the gym. Wondering if I can still get there without gym 😬

Intel zwRg15 Feb 22, 2020

At the time I did this, I was only doing push-ups and pull-ups at home so didn't take very long. Now I go to the gym 3 times a week or so for about an hourish each time

Over 9000!

I can do a thousand now.

Okta Bakasur Feb 22, 2020

I assume you could 2 thousand before

I got up to 70+ when younger and realized it's a waste of time. Having a huge chest is not attractive as a male; you look like a freak, buffoon.

Intel zwRg15 Feb 24, 2020

Getting up to 100 push-ups shouldn't get you a huge chest unless you have some mutant pec situation. That's more endurance than strength. Lifting heavy weights consistently for years might get you there though.
