How many focused hours of work do you put in each day as a software engineer? What do you do if you finish your sprint super early? YOE: 2 TC: 130k
Continue on other parts of my project, start work on something else, or research something I was curious about (e.g. how a different part of our product works). Being unsure of what to do is normal, but growing to senior roles requires ability to work autonomously on multi-month+ projects without week by week direction.
Can you just submit random merge requests or do you have to link them to given stories? I’m trying to figure out how doing all this extra work looks in a development cycle
> Can you just submit random merge requests Yes. Also, just start on your next project.
PiP incoming
Lol 10-12, we don't have sprints just tasks so no finishing early
You work non stop 12 hours? I dint think that's possible, if it is, it's cruel
Same 10-12. It’s completely realistic and it’s expected at my level.
Although some times I take a nap from 2-4pm (usually no lunch break) or take the dogs out and a 2 hr dinner break. Pretty much work 930am to midnight.
🍌 makes it all worth it
Do you have any hobbies?
Sometimes I even splurge go to the grocery store or an extra walk in the evening
Other days I cry so much it make me sick and I have to use sick time to rest
FML what am I doing? I keep thinking if I wasn't so depressed I could do better. This sucks.
@bdmo sounds broken.
